In 1992 the company built Curtis Plaza on Wołoska St, widely considered to have been the first modern A-class office building to appear in Warsaw after the country’s economic transition. Curtis Development was a pioneer of investing into office buildings in Mokotów Służewiec, which within 30 years has transformed from a post-industrial land mass into the biggest office cluster in Poland / CEE region. Curtis Plaza remains an architectural icon of the 1990s, offering attractive office, retail / services and storage spaces on flexible lease terms. Bank Pekao remains co-owner-occupier of Curtis Plaza and Curtis Development is responsible for leasing to commercial tenants & asset management of the building.
In 1997 Curtis Development was merged with Curtis Construction extending its expertise to the residential sector with the development of single family houses based on American technology in Piaseczno. The company was responsible for complete renovation & modernization works of the heritage-protected Karnicki Palace along Aleje Ujazdowskie in Warsaw.
In 1998 the company continued its involvement in the office real estate industry through participation in the construction of Puławska Financial Center.
In 2008 - 2009, as part of a forward funding structured transaction, Curtis Development partnered with IVG (later operating under the name of Triuva and Patrizia) to develop Horizon Plaza, a modern A-class office building on a neighboring land plot to Curtis Plaza along Domaniewska St. The building was awarded the ‘Building of the Year’ in 2009 by PIIB, was successfully commercialized and ultimately sold by IVG to the German investment fund Union Investment in 2011, in which hands it remains until today.
For over 10 years Curtis Development has been responsible for preparing land plots as investment sites with necessary zoning changes and permits, with a focus on residential use - single-family row houses in Międzylesie Wawer (Hafciarska) as well as complex of single-family houses / multifamily residential properties by shoreline in Mikołajki (Osada Nad Jeziorem).
In recent years Curtis Development has been engaged in a complete rehab process of a historical villa originally built in 1904 - Villa Anna in Konstancin, Warsaw’s premium residential suburb. The company plans to complete renovation works by 2022.
